VotePair.org asks Naderites in Florida and other swing states to swap votes with Kerry supporters in nonswing states. I'll vote for Nader in California if you'll vote for Kerry in Florida. (The group's FAQ is here.)
Of course, this requires Nader supporters to think strategically and rationally and asks Kerry voters to trust Naderites to do the right thing. I predict almost a dozen votes will be affected.
In vote-pairing, swing-state progressives whose first instinct might have been to vote for Nader or Cobb announce their strategic decision to vote for Kerry-Edwards instead; Democrats (and others) in "safe" states whose first instinct might have been to vote for Kerry instead announce their strategic decision to vote for Nader or Cobb as part of the VotePair movement.
