Flag deadline
The Carey Baker USA, USA We're No. 1 Freedom Flag Act requires all public schools to have a flag in every classroom and requires that the flags be at least 2X3 feet. Oh yeah, it also refused to appropriate any state money for actually buying the flags so the money has to come from local funds or donors. The Aug.1 deadline is approaching and Hillsborough Co might need from $3,000 to as much as $15,000 to replace existing classroom flags.
