FL-13 ballot confusion
At first, the Fla Sec. of State Office didn't see a problem, but the improbable undercount in US House 13, is being audited.
Once again that dread phrase Florida recount is being spoken. But don't worry, these are touch-screen machines with no paper back-up, there won't be any meaningful recount, just a new readout of the numbers.
Seems that votes in Dist. 13 race weren't registering on the touch-screen and were easy to miss in the ballot layout. (The Herald-Trib received 120 complaints.)
The confusion elected a Republican, so nobody expects too much concern by the Secretary of State or objections from the Republican Sarasota Co. supervisor of elections.
Wow, first, this district gets Katherine Harris, then it gets a guy the majority probably didn't want. At least the touch-screens registered the votes of people who wanted to scrap touch-screens.
