CQPolitics.com changes its rating for US House-13, Katherine Harris' old district, to "no clear favorite." It was previously "leans Republican."
This despite Republican Vern Buchanan's round-the-clock airing of negative ads. I was visiting Tampa last weekend and you couldn't walk past a TV without seeing a negative ad. But, as the Times noted last week, Tampa Bay has endured more campaign TV ads than anywhere the country this election.
Meanwhile in US House 9, Bilirakis gets after his opponent for failing to crack down on thong bathing suits in 1991! If she won't outlaw skimpy bathing suits, how can she be trusted to be tough on terrorism? Forget the war! These are the real issues!
